HIRE CONDITIONS

PLEASE READ BEFORE LOADING YOUR SKIP


Skip bin DELIVERY & COLLECTION


We will do our best to place your skip bin where you request, however, please understand not all requests can be met - please chat with our drivers for an understanding.

Please be advised that we cannot place bins on the road or footpath without a council permit as fines will apply. Our trucks require a minimum of a 3m wide space to reduce the risks of damage to the truck and our customer’s property.


Bins are placed on driveways at customer request, no responsibility for damage is accepted. Placement instructions provided by the customer will be satisfied where possible and we may need to contact you for alternative placement.


Please do not move your skip from its delivery position. If the skip has been moved from its delivery position, and there is damage caused by the driver when collecting the skip, Biffa Skip Bins will not be held accountable.

All care is taken by our drivers to ensure the delivery and collection of the skip bin. However Biffa Skip Bins will not be held accountable for any damage caused to your property where the driver has adhered to the customers instructions.

Heavy bins will almost always mark a driveway in some way, truck tyres can depress and crack pavers and kerbing.

For the skip to be delivered onto the driveway, there is always a chance of it being scratched as the skip bins have angular feet. We suggest that on new driveways or for larger skips, the customer place timber planks down first or put it on the grass. Biffa Skip Bins do not supply these.

LOADING YOUR SKIP Bin

Please do not overload your skip. Your waste must be contained within the skip, and not be filled past the top of the bin.

No items are permitted to be protruding. Should the skip be overloaded, and our driver cannot collect, you will be charged a futile collection fee*. Should our driver need to remove or rearrange items from the skip, you will be charged a rearrangement fee*.

Skip Bin HIRE PERIODS & Extensions

The cost of your skip covers a hire period of 1-7 days, however, the hire can be extended or reduced as required.


Should you wish to extend your hire, please contact the office 24hrs before your scheduled collection date to arrange this. Early collection can also be arranged within 24hrs of your call.


Extended hire is available @ $70/week OR @ $20/day and MUST be arranged 24hrs before the collection date.

* Futile collection charges will apply if the skip is not ready for delivery / collection when our driver arrives.

GENERAL AND GREEN WASTE

General waste is classed as anything that can break down, such as wood, plastic, paper, metal, household/ domestic, green waste* etc. General waste has a weight allowance and Biffa Skip Bins reserves the right to apply additional charges as required.


* Green waste: tree stumps must be cut smaller than 30cm wide and 80cm in length.

* Not general waste: food waste, sand, bricks, rocks, tiles, concrete, paver dirt, soil, turf, cement.

Heavy waste is categorised as sand, bricks, rocks, tiles, concrete, dirt, soil and turf. No wet cement.

HAZARDOUS WASTE

Hazardous Waste

Hazardous waste is not accepted. This includes asbestos, gas bottles, and flammables such as paint, oils, chemicals and pesticides - additional charges will apply.

ANY DAMAGES INCURRED TO BIFFA SKIP BINS, WHILST THE SKIP IS UNDER HIRE (eg. FIRE DAMAGE), WILL INCUR ADDITIONAL CHARGES AT THE DISCRETION OF MANAGEMENT.

Payment is required on or before delivery of your skip bin.

We accept:

  • Payment online via our online website booking system OR
  • If booked over the phone, credit card over the phone OR cash on delivery paid to our driver (if agreed to over the phone)

Please be advised: the contents of each skip will remain the property of the customer until payment is received in full.

Processing charge per mattress. Max 3 mattresses which have to fit in the bin sized 5m3 and up.

Contaminated Skip

Contaminated skip disposal fee.

Waste protruding from skip that the driver needs to rearrange when collecting skip.
